Weddings at Kirkhill
Choosing the ideal wedding venue is almost as important a decision as choosing the person you want to marry! When you’re ready to make the biggest commitment of your life, you have to be certain that the experience is as unique as you are.
At Kirkhill, we specialise in creating a completely bespoke day completely tailored to your needs, as well as your friends and family. We operate solely on an exclusive use basis, meaning that you call the shots. We only host one event at any time, so you can work on your own timescale and dress the house exactly as you want- and there’s no chance of bumping into another bride in the corridor!
With picturesque views over the Pentland Hills, the venue is the ideal backdrop for wedding photographs. Whether you want a small intimate gathering or a large, lively celebration, our wedding co-ordinators are on hand to help you with every aspect of your special day.
The Grand Hall and Dining Room, the house’s main reception areas, can host up to 42 guests for a sit-down meal or 70 guests for a drinks reception. By extending into the garden, we can accommodate up to 120 guests for a sit-down meal and 300 for a drinks reception in our marquee.

Accommodation
Enjoy the relaxed and tranquil serenity of the estate while entertaining your guests in magical surroundings. With check in from 2pm, the Mansion House is exclusively yours. Kirkhill provides comfortable, modern bedrooms within the elegance of an 18th century building. With 12 tastefully furnished bedrooms, accommodation ranges from the bridal suite with spacious bathroom suites to double, twin and family rooms with enough space for 3 or 4 kids.
Five Bed Family Room
Situated on the first floor, this is a big room with a dedicated bathroom that can comfortably accommodate a large family.
Two Quad Rooms
Situated on the first and lower ground floors, these rooms have plenty of space for four adults but also suit families.
Four Triple Rooms
Situated on the first and lower ground floors, these comfortable rooms have bathrooms, as well as plenty of space for three adults.
Four Kingsize / Twin Rooms
Situated on the first and lower ground floors, these spacious and comfortable rooms sleep 2 adults and all have en-suite bathrooms.
The Bridal Suite
A sumptuous room decorated with dramatic mirrors, family artwork and a fabulous classic bathroom. Perfect for pampering and preparing for a very special day.

This house is gorgeous and I can’t recommend it enough. Dave’s a lovely host and I hope we have a chance to stay here again. We rented to house our friends/family for our nearby wedding (could’ve had it here, didn’t realize how perfect it was until I arrived). Excellent rooms, I want this kitchen at home and I can’t get off of one of the 3 napping couches.
We just wanted to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We both truely had a magical day it was more than we could of ever imagined. All the guests couldnt believe how stunning the house, views and location was. Your service has been 5* and everything was so laid back and perfect. We could never of had a day like we did without you. Food was cooked to perfection and there was a massive variety available. Something to suit everyone even my sisters. We'll never be able to thank you enough. Can't wait to find an excuse to come back.
30 of us met up for a weekend in Kirkhill mansion. All guests were impressed with the setting of the house. Inside our stay was made comfortable by a very attentive on site manager. The owner David was extremely helpful with his suggestions. Overall a fabulous weekend of relaxation.
